Thanksgiving 2007
The newest addition to our Furry Family....Harry Hammy! He has got to be the cutest Hamster I have ever seen. Not only a Teddy Bear but a Long Hair Teddy Bear. He literally is a furball!
The kids were so excited about putting our little tree up this year that we decided to do it on Thanksgiving while we were waiting on dinner and the yums to cook. So, we woke up that morning and did some chores and a little rearranging of furniture to accomodate the tree. I wanted to put it in front of the living room window so the lights can be seen from outside which meant moving the couches around.
I had got a little Gingerbread Man kit for the kids to decorate as well. They had fun doing that and all came up with very different ideas. Sebastians was sporting a grill. Shei covered hers in icing as opposed to icing the edge for more of a Snow/Ginger Man and Chris kept his fairly traditional.
Dinner was super yum of course and it was a great day. It was just the kids and I but I enjoyed every minute of it. I miss our big family get togethers when I was kid. Even more....I miss my family. There's just not much of us left anymore and everyone has completely gone their separate ways since G&G's deaths. *sigh*
Good news our Leah is moving back to Phx which means all my Grandbabies will be here. YAY!

Another Birthday.....34....ugh!
I have had an amazing trip for my birthday. Sitting at the Main Street Parade last night at Disney watching the kids ooh and awe and Shei get uber excited to see Tink....made my day. It couldn't have been a better birthday. (Ok, if it was someone else funding the trip and not myself...maybe...but money didn't matter at that moment.) We got fudge from the candy shop, cotton candy from a street vendor, sat on the curb and enjoyed every minute of it.
We spent Sunday at Disneyland and took Monday off to rest our feet. We spent Tuesday at California Adventure then finished up at Disneyland for the parade. I will rant more about Disney in it's own blog. This is about me....getting old..er. I am ok with it. Each year that passes I enjoy my children more and more. They are such neat people. People I would actually like as an adult and that's important to me. Cause I am super cool...so they have to be as well. HAHA.
So, Monday we drove down to visit some friends in Oceanside. We hopped on the I5 and we were there within the hour. We wanted to see the ocean while we were here since we don't see that water stuff at home in the desert. My friends Binks and Tom live there while Tom is assigned to Camp Pendleton. So the kids played while we visited and when Tom came home from his day we all went to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack right down on the water in the marina.
We had an amazing dinner talking, laughing, and getting a kick out of this large group that was having a celebration and awards dinner there also. Binks of course had to tell our server that it was my birthday and when she asked my name with the straightest face I said Morgan. (Binks real name.) Morgan was like, "UH UH. OH NO. I HAVE THE ID TO PROVE IT. Her name is Bobbi-Jo." Hey, I tried. So we all laughed and I thought ok, ok, they can sing to me.
Well when she brings my super yum turtle sundae heaping pile of goo the wait staff is in tow and she hands me a stuffed crab. She said hold one in each hand and during each verse yell, "I GOT CRABS!" Well anyone that knows me knows I have no shame and enjoy a good time (ok and maybe being the center of attention) but I turn the brightest shade of red when embarrassed or on the spot. So it goes like this....
Joe's Staff: Happy Birthday to you!
Me: I GOT CRABS!
Joe's Staff: Happy Birthday to you!
Me: I GOT CRABS!
Joe's Staff: Happy Birthday dear BobbiJo
Me: I GOT CRABS!
Joe's Staff: Happy Birthday to You!
Me: I GOT CRABS! WOOHOO!
So, I was flourescent red. Everyone was laughing hysterically and it was the best time. There were even a couple people holding up their cell phones so whoever was on the other end could hear as well.
LET ME CLARIFY...I don't have CRABS! Well, I actually have a crab now. I had to buy one of the little stuffed critters as a souvenir after that.
So very original. Not the ol giant sombrero on the head sing a little song gig.
We did have to explain to our kids what crabs are though after that so they would know why it was so incredibly funny. Cause they were totally laughing along but then were like....why is that so funny. So we explained, ya know how you get lice on your head, well....
And it was EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! But then they got it! HA
So, I am 34. I am ok with it. I look amazing for my age of course. Still cute....and modest as all get out and love my world right now.

Happy Halloween and a SIK amount of Candy!
So Seb was rockin' his Scream again like he did last year. I probably won't be able to get him to dress for up for too many more years. Chris wore my flight suit from Space Camp which was pretty cool. Nice to see it get some use. Of course he couldn't just be an astronaut. He had to be a DEAD astronaut. So, a little sad, but it is Halloween! Shei had a cheerleading uniform that she hated because it had a turtle neck and refused to ever wear...(not sure what she would wear it for anyway)...so we cut out the nect and decided the "M" stands for Murder. She looked so cute and crazy at the same time. They trick or treated and got a ridiculous amount of candy. Just what we don't need. lol
Shei's Halloween Party at School
Sheilynn had a Halloween party at school and of course I volunteered to help. (Just so I could take pictures hehe) . Ok, she's looking at me all crazy now cause she's reading this as I write it. Ok, I went Shei because I love spending time with you AND wanted to take pictures. Is that better? She said, "YAH." So, they had lots of treats and games and activities. It was neat to see all the kiddies in their costumes. She was going to be a psycho cheerleader Halloween night but couldn't wear her make up and stuff at school so she wore her Pirate costume from last year for the school party. Since you are reading Shei, I love you. ( She kissed me ;-) )
Carving Pumpkins
We went to a local pumpkin patch and chose a few pumpkins and hauled them out to the van in a little red wagon. We decided to carve them the Saturday prior to Halloween hoping if we waited they would last a little while but with the heat they got droopy pretty quick. The kids dug right in and got nice and messy. Seb went with the classic Jack O Lantern face while Shei and Chris both used one of the stencils that came with the carving kit we picked up at the patch. Shei and I worked on a ghost and Chris a black cat. They all came out great and though I miss my babies it's great to see the kids getting bigger and doing more and more in their own. They are such neat people.
